Movie was NOTHING like the original. Hallie did well for what she was given with playing the part. However for what was supposed to be a remake of a childhood classic & beloved movie, it was awful considering that stance. So much was different, new music added did not mesh with the original. Lyrics were changed in beloved songs & one of my biggest issues was the Ariel stayed in the same little blue dress the entire movie, she didn't even get the beautiful blue sparkley dress at the end, she was given the SAME blue dress she wore the whole movie, but now torn up! Had this not been a REMAKE & had it's own original story line & music it would have been fine, however considering it was supposed to be a live action remake of a movie many grew up on & have loved, it was just awful in my opinion. Wasn't worth the money I spent hoping to love it.
