I don't like the show Velma by Mindy Kaling for several reasons. Firstly, I feel like the show takes away from the original essence of the beloved Scooby-Doo characters. Velma is portrayed as a completely different character from the intelligent, assertive, and independent woman she is in the original series. Instead, she is depicted as insecure, quirky, and somewhat awkward, which is a departure from the strong character fans have come to love.
Furthermore, I don't like what the show has done to the other characters such as Daphne, Fred, and Shaggy. Daphne is often reduced to a shallow, ditzy character who is more concerned with her appearance than solving mysteries. Fred is depicted as a clueless buffoon who is constantly being outsmarted by Velma and the gang. Shaggy, who is typically portrayed as lovable and easy-going, is turned into a grumpy and cynical character.
Overall, I feel like the show Velma by Mindy Kaling misses the mark in terms of staying true to the original characters and the spirit of the original series. Instead of honoring the legacy of Scooby-Doo, it feels like a missed opportunity to create something fresh and engaging for fans of the original show.
