IMPORTANT: This review will have a short and long version DO NOT play this game, walk away, spend time with your family, touch grass, or learn a new skill. This game will eat away at your life, trust me when I say there is nothing here for you. War Thunder is a game that has fun moments, that does not mean it is a fun game. For starters the game technically never truly left Alpha, and it shows, most of the game modes all have the SAME OBJECTIVE go to the A point to capture it. There is nothing more repetitive than a single game mode. Secondly even though the game advertises itself as “realistic” it is more of a blend of realism and arcade, but it takes only the most annoying factors of realism aside from mechanical failure. Every Step Forward has Twenty Steps Back, now I don’t know any of the Devs personally, but I can tell when a developer really hates their game’s community every time the community asks for a change that would improve their game it is always delivered in a Monkey’s Paw type way ( if you don’t get that reference read Monkey’s Paw). And lastly the biggest offender is the INFAMOUS GRIND. If you thought Halo infinite was bad then wait till you see who wrote the book 343 read. I have played for 3 years and I still haven’t passed tier 3 in ANY tech tree, there are 8 tech trees. If you are still reading this, PLEASE DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME. Do Not spend money on it, and if you still are not convinced then go to YouTube and look up War Thunder Problems, because there are a lot. Leave now or you will suffer till the end of eternity.
