Had to stop half way through. Every 10 pages or so something newly ridiculous happened and within another 10 pages it was forgotten about. In his journey up to the half way point, the main character has seen his guide killed by supernatural forces, seen a station attacked by Nazis, murdered one of said Nazis, been sentenced to death, been saved from death at the last minute by communists, been sold into slavery, escaped from slavery and has just been found by a Jehovah's Witness and that's just the bits I remember. There's probably another five or six stations he visited in between that I've forgotten about. That's only half way. I looked at the plot for the second half and it's equally bonkers, so for my sanity, I decided I couldn't do it anymore and removed the download on my Kindle.
