having now watched episode 3, I feel like I got off a roller coaster but not in a good way..
this show teases you as a star wars fan with characters and nostalgia to build up a high (e.g. Obi-Wan strapping on his lightsaber) but then quickly lets you down with brutally bad writing and lack of consistency.
Reva as a character is meh. There's no emotional gravitas for her to have such a grudge against Obi-Wan, and even if they explain it later in the show we've already had half a season's worth of a flat and contrived character that adds little value to the screen other than moving the plot along.
I was stoked to see Vader and again was teased by his stoic brutality, but quickly let down by the lackluster sequence between him and Obi-Wan. I get that you can't have the climax of the show halfway through.. but I would have rather Vader and Ob-Wan not meet yet and have one big showdown where the scenery, dialogue and choreography actually do justice to both characters.
Really wish they'd stop tearing down beloved characters just for the sake of elevating new ones or new plot points.. if you can't write an interesting character or story without breaking existing ones, you're not doing your job properly
