Call me "Biased", but in my opinion there exists no such thing as a "bad Star Wars movie".
Yes, some of the dialogue was unnecessary, unnatural for its context/scene, some of the events seem unbelievable (Ani taking out the TF's battleships, for one) - but hey! It's fiction - what do you want?
It sets the scene perfectly, showcasing how the Republic starts to disintegrate, paving the way for the rise of the Empire.
Definitely not the best SW movie, but definitely enjoyable. John Williams does an absolutely stunning job with the soundtrack (as always), and Ewan McGregor delivers an awe-inspiring performance as Obi-Wan Kenobi.
In my opinion, definitely worth your time (even if only once).
