Absolutely loved the movie - the casting was absolutely splendid . Was it Pope Francis in person acting ? I am a great fan of Pope Benedict XVI and have met Pope Francis in person (obviously I was in the crowd ) . What I liked about the movie - I must say again splendid casting . Clean movie that we can watch with family ( that too on Netflix ) without profanity , without disordered use of sexuality while still remaining engaging and interesting .... And the key point the movie highlights - opposing ideologies can sit at the same table ( it’s called dialogue ) and talk ! Warning : not all scenes in the movie are for real . Like Pope Benedict meeting cardinal bergolio and revealing his plan to resign .... it’s pure work of fiction but still speaks to the fact that opposing thoughts can still converge and find meaning and purpose in a common cause .
