I think the ‘pleasant neighbour’ Dianne, Played by Erin McGrane, is a really important character in this movie.
Dianne gets fed up of waiting, and moves on quietly.
Dianne represents the good life that ‘could’ve been’ for Ryan, if only he had been mature enough.
Ryan couldn’t see Dianne.
