Once again Taylor Sheridan delivers. Yet another show that feels real, and whose main characters sincerely demonstrate the essence of what is sometimes defined as true grit. Less immediately relatable than some of his other works, maybe even more gritty and difficult to watch populated with individuals more physically and mentally scarred and far less endearing, you still can’t help watching to see how the story progresses, even though you may know its outline historically. Like his other shows, eventually you get swept up in the story of these people’s lives, how they live, die, kill, suffer and maybe, hold on to love, which finally makes them human.
