While critics may point to a few creative issues, I believe the acting was really good and made you like the characters immediately. Since I have spent time with several family members suffering with dementia, I believe Nolte’s character really represented both the humorous and sad elements of progressing Alzheimer’s. Every encounter with main character shows how differently people respond. The take-always reveal that kindness, reframing, and creative interactions with those suffering with memory issues make a huge difference. If you gain one insight as a caregiver than it’s worth watching.
