Persona 5 Royal is the only game to ever give me post-game depression. The game is centered around building strong relationships with its characters in order to further your adventure. The friendships you build upon during the entire game with these characters make it impossible to not become attached to them. You hear about their problems, you help them cope, and your bonds with them grow deeper. A big part about this game is that you get to choose how you spend your time, so you can choose to spend no time at all with these characters. While I'm not saying that's the wrong path, I don't think it's the right one, because not becoming attached to these characters is doing the player and the game a huge disservice. The gameplay, soundtrack, cutscenes, and characters are all phenomenal, and the story is exceptionally happy, heart-wrenching, intense, dramatic, hilarious, and relieving all at the same time. This game will make you not want to finish it, purely because you won't be able to share experiences with these characters and the incredibly story they tell. This game deserves all and more of the praise it has already gotten. It is the greatest game ever made.
