AVATAR : THE WAY OF WATER Its been a week since watching this much awaited sequel from James Cameron... and I still ponder how I feel bout this movie. REMINDER : Do watch this movie in 3D for full worth. James Cameron spend much less (USD250 MIL) than I anticipated and came up with much more then in this 3 hour movie. The CGI in this movie put all combine movies ever made by Hollywood including MCU to at least a lap behind. JC really did bring us to Pandora in this one. An entire planet was AMAZINGLY brought to life in ways so perfectly DETAILED that we can really be fooled to say 'whales actually have 4 eyes'. The thoughts and effort that was put in these 13 years of creating the creatures in this movie is truly incredible. At moments I felt like reaching out to the screen to touch the 'tulkuns'. The cast for this movie was star studded from the returning Sam Worthington.. Zoe Saldana .. Sigourney Weaver.. and Stephen Lang... with added stars Kate Winslet... Vin Diesel.. Michele Yeoh. But except for Stephen Lang (Colonel Miles), the rest are unrecognizable in charactor. Having said all the above.. the movie plot and story line as a sequel was rather disappointing to me all the way to the end. The plot starts with man-kind being the villain again with a mission to conquer the peaceful Pandora ... again. To inhibit cause Earth is dying...(but humans cant breath Pandora air) .... the plot turns to bringing back a villain via cloning..... then the plot turns to hunting a rebel leader.... and then zoom past everything to hunting whale like creature's brain fluid (tulkuns) for longevity. The plots thou expands the oppurtunity to visit the entire planet and introduce amazing creatures but it only lengthen the movie minutes without creating a finale jist most would have expected from the charactors. Exp.: I was expecting Kiri to do an Aquaman ending uniting all of the Pandora creatures... but I was disappointed with the festive lights guide by her. The movie pondered too much on coming of age... adapting to new environment.. and forgot the main plot of WAR. The storyline also left HUNG on several key plots till the very end. I can only predict the reason for all these is cause.... there is going to be an AVATAR 3. If there isnt another one... then this movie FAILED in storytelling. But to all movie goers... this movie is a MUST WATCH just for the sake of seeing the amazing world CGI can create. The closest we can feel to being in a different planet similar to Earth. Worst Plot : Villain has a son whom may turn out to be Tarzan of Pandora. Fav Quote : A father protects. Its what gives him meaning. Conclusion : Watch this movie and FORGET the storyline and plot. Watch the movie cause it allows us to DREAM whats out there on other planets and stars. Cause in this lifetime.. this is as REAL as it gets!
