The idea of a scary looking monster from a book coming to life is amazing but this movie just did not meet my standards. There literally weren’t any scary parts in the whole movie except for that one scene in the bedroom with him on the ceiling, but you couldn’t even really see his face. Every time it was night you’d get ready for a scary part, but it just switched to daytime immediately and it was ruined. If they took the look of the monster from the book and just had him look like that and had more scenes with his face, then this movie would be great.
