Alright, now there are plenty of negative reviews about lack of story, repetitive narration, exaggerated VFX use, and overdramatized sibling love. But you must know you are up for this after watching the trailer and promo songs and considering the movie is being released during Diwali. You are up for a treat and entertainment a few days after the lump in your throat Jai Bhim gave you.
Well, my review is purely based on the very expectation that I had from the movie gone wrong. Well, way too wrong. I never ever in my life just wanted a Rajni movie to end and get the hell out of the cinema.
I think Siva had watched a lot too many TV serials during lockdown which probably inspired him to come up with the script. The story is nothing new, but the narration always made such a fine thread of family drama fun which is turned into a yawn fest and mess here. Neither the characters nor dialogues have any impact on the film which is the least expected from a Rajni movie. Characters come and vanish and a comedian like Soori's dialogues were nothing but a few rhyming words to go with his name. Keerthi Suresh had a lot of screen presence in this movie but her repetitive dialogues and tones were blatantly boring and overshadowed her acting prowess. Siva even throws in 2.5 villains for reasons better known to him. Khusbu and Meena's characters could have been replaced with fellow junior artists and would have been better, tbh.
Only saving grace was D. Imman's music. But even the melodrama BGM kicks in at the worst possible situations made it abhorring too.
230 Crores budget and he wanted to give us the old Rajni and Woah!!! Disappointed beyond words!!!
