I read this book in 5 days with 2 hour sessions per day . It was a hard book to put down,very suspenseful and well written. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have always been interested in Jamaica. When I was 14 my sister brought home the soundtrack to the movie ROCKERS. My favourite song was "Dreadlock cant live in a tenement yard ". lyrics " Dreadlock cant smoke his pipe on peace to much fuss and to much Police ..to much watchy ,watchy ,watchy to much soo, soo ,soo, soo ,soo...:) .. I love reggae music . You portrayed a great vision of that Country and I felt I was there at times . I love the use of the homeland slang terms and I literally laughed out loud on several occasions . I cried once also. Your memory is so impressive of your childhood . Truly amazing. I feel like I met your Grandma Minnie . What a wonderful woman. I am so proud of you and thank you for writing this memoir of your survival ,resilience and recovery. A great inspiration for me and countless others .
