Some of the most absolutely realistic, least “Hollywood”, gun violence I’ve *ever* seen in film… right down to the sound mixing. I’ve never felt so immersed in a film. Cinematography is award-worthy. You don’t feel like a spectator, you feel like a participant.
Excellent performances from the actors. I was particularly impressed with Kirsten Dunst. She had a war-fatigued gravitas and severity that was palpable.
It was disturbing to watch. It felt like a very possible future if the West doesn’t start course correcting in a major way. Well executed as a cautionary tale.
