Don't bother with this novel unless you need an example of weak storytelling. Characters are one dimensional, and the plot is contrived and thin. Spoiler alert: there is no ending. Seems that the author ran out of ideas and thought the lack of a conclusion was a smart premise. There is more satisfaction in watching a rerun of Scooby Doo than reading this book. I have no idea of how the author made the New York Times Best Seller list.

1960 original is much better. Relied too much on the set to carry the story. Watch for a few minutes to see the house then move on.
