One of my childhood, and now adult, favourites. I reread it regularly and still get excited and enthralled by it. Taut with adventure and derring do, its descriptions of the sea, the hard life of sailors and the sheer beauty of the clipper ships are unequalled.

I realy really got into it about halfway through episode 2. And was (and am) seriously hacked off that it got pulled. A complex story line - maybe too complex for American viewers, quirky casting - again, maybe too quirky for Americans - and great camera action: that truck heist!
