Was a bit let down by The Conjuring 3. It's important to note that the goal of this movie was to focus on the Warrens and their investigation which is why it was less scary than the first 2 and sidetracked. Also, the actual "Devil Made Me Do It" case had nothing to do with witchcraft. This storyline was fabricated solely in order to tie the Conjuring universe together. The same cult, Disciples of the Ram, is present in the Annabelle movies. We can most likely plan on seeing more of this cult pop up in future movies. I wish they focused more on the documented case, but there wasn't much more to focus on other than the demon possession and exorcism. Hence the creation of this cult arc. That being said, the movie is worth a watch if you enjoy the Conjuring universe and definitely a vital piece. 6/10 v(Tiny Spoiler)v Ed Warren died of a heart attack in 2006 (IRL). In this movie, he experiences his first heart attack. This wasn't documented in the Devil Made Me Do It case, but we can assume since this movie is taking place in 1981, they are leading up to possibly a couple more movies before Ed Warren eventually dies off. Or the franchise ends.

I would say this is your average "Monster Hunter" movie but the monsters were very well done and the SFX and soundtrack were actually incredible. Having not played the games, I would say this could be a great one-off movie or a great start to a short series. Definitely worth a watch.
