This is such an emotionally gripping show! The art style is unique and expressive. The soundtracks are amazing and make the show even more dramatic. The opening scene basically depicts what the show is going to be about and even subtly hints at how it is going to end and by the way it has one of the best anime endings ever. I don't think all the characters are well developed but Akira and Ryo surely are and the show has other redeeming qualities. It has a lot of gore and nudity but they serve a purpose.
