Let me put it this way.
If you are racist, homophobic, a misogynist and apparently have something against 3 legged dogs, you won't like this movie.
If you aren't, you'll love it. The movie isn't even centered on sexuality anyway (literally one scene of flirting and it was super innocent, just about a card game) or race (the main character's mom is black, his father's white) or disability! The wonderful thing about this movie that racists and homophobes don't like is that the movie treated it as normal everyday life. There is nothing inappropriate about it. And for the homophobes saying that it's not meant for kids because kids don't think about "that stuff", they do. Maybe not in the inappropriate way you're thinking but they do.
