Awful adaptation! I watched the 1968 version with Bill Bixby to compare. The problem is the direction (Meenu Gaur) and the script (Siân Ejiwunmi-Le Berre). The 1968 version allowed the relationships to develop rather than being forced as they are in this adaptation. The actors are talented! The failure lies with the simplistic vision of both director and scriptwriter.
