The game is great. And while I'd love to just get into why it's great, I'm not, because you've probably read everything good about it already by someone else. So, I, as someone who loves the game, will say what I DON'T like about it (don't worry, it's a short list):
One, the absence of Naginata. While the game does have it, you as the play don't ever use one, which is highly unsatisfying for both Japanese historians and glaive/spear lovers.
Two, the combat, while it flows amazingly, is just too easy at times. Even setting the difficulty to its highest, the only times the combat seems to hard is during duels, and even then, there aren't many of those.
Three, the Haiku in the game are inaccurate, not just because they didn't exist until later, but because occasionally, they break the rules of haiku (e.g., it's supposed to be three words of 5 syllables, 5 words of 7 syllables, then another 3 words of 5, but every now and then you can select a line that goes over or under the word limit [but it never breaks the syllable rule, unless you're playing in Japanese which is honestly to be expected]).
And finally, four, the Mongols all look the same. While I know that from a developer standpoint you kind of have to keep it this way, but either way, I never seem to find any variety with the types of soldiers I have to fight, which is a bit disappointing.
But hey, nothing is perfect except Morshu, and since this game- along with all others except one- doesn't include Morshu, it simply cannot be perfect, which is fine. The game is still very awesome, and these four things aren't enough to make it bad in any way.
