In my opinion this is Miyazaki's best and most emotionally mature production. Every scene is near perfect in a much simpler way than movies like 'Spirited Away' and 'Princess Mononoke.' I have never connected more with a character than Jiro, his innocent passion is so palpable you nearly forget it is animated. That being said it is not for everyone, it is not fast paced or particularly exciting, but for me that just makes each line hit harder.
Edit: I definitely recommend dubbed over subbed, you can tall the English voice actors put effort in.
