. This movie tried SO hard to be frightening, mysterious and shocking that it went overboard into ridiculous. I laughed so hard at parts I am confident were supposed to be psychologically horrifying but we're too theatrical (the way blood spurted out of a body when stabbed, the over-psychotic acting of the father). So bad not even campy. PERHAPS could be POSSIBLY considered a scary movie for someone who likes to laugh at overreacting. Don't waste your time... Unless you love the idea of watching something ridiculous with a pointless storyline.
