Ok, to srart, The Orville is a fantastic scirnce fiction adventure series that takes the mantle if social commentary and actiin/adventure and runs with it. The show is well written, the characters are well developed, and the plots are fun and balanced between drama and acrion. I really hope we get years more entertainment from the ahow. Now, as for the incredibly homophobic rant that precedes my review. It's offensive and andseems tk tell us a lot more about tge reviewer than the show... . Funny how detailed the indignation is in the review. Seems like the person reviewing the show much have watched it 3-4 times... you know, just to make sure he was able to tell us how outraged seeing it made him. MmmmHmmm... The Orville is a good show that deserves a watch. Give it a try.

No, it isn't great and it cuts or changes many key plot points of the books but it isn't THAT bad. It would have been better as 2-3 movies that develop the characters and follow the wonderful books.
