I get it now. This is a movie that doesn't fall short of its high expectations, Captain Marvel is an interesting origin film that has long been expected. Going into this movie with all the positivism and negativity surrounding it really doesn't prepare you for the actual movie itself. Visual and characteristically intriguing. Captain Marvel is one of those films that you enjoy in the moment, its escapism is truly gratifying as well as satisfying. Like many people have said, the cast was terrific, Larson and Jackson certainly made a good buddy-cop duo, reading and feeding off each other. However in certain parts of the movies, the acting falls a little flat, and left me wanting more out of the scenarios. Mendelsohn was a wonderfully addition to the cast and truly brought the humorous side of things to life. The CGI, while not Oscar worthy or award worthy. The visuals of the Movie were captivating, drawing you into the film with appreciation. Again, in certain parts of the movies, the visuals and CGI fall a little below the mark of this excellent film. I feel that they could have done more with galatic scenes as they lacked a little depth. Plot and pacing were what you would expect in an action-packed origin story. Moving fast enough not to lose the viewer, but not slow enough that I could really appreciate where this is all going. Captain Marvel's main goal in the release of this film was to push forward a single idea, replayed over and over in Larson's character's memories. "Strong, independence female lead, who can tough it out despite the naysayers and masochistic mindset that surrounds her." Captain Marvel is a wonderfully entertaining film, with great plot and wonderful characterization. After watching the film, I can finally see where all the hype and negativity is laid. I'll admit that it's message level is a little above that of Wonder Woman that dragged it's message across a little to lazily. Both movies had great female leads and I look forward to the next big superhero movie starring a female. I believe that something good is coming from these and will support it 100%. I would rate the move 7.3 /10%

This is what we've been waiting for. The culmination of years of campaigning and petitioning have finally paid off. Fans of DC will no doubt find this Synder Cut to be what was promised so many years ago (2017), Zack Synder delivered his magnum opus 4hrs of it. And I enjoyed every minute of it, from the first scene to the last, Zack Synder's Justice League was the movie that I had been hoping for. With no intentions of spoiling the movie, all I will say is that the wait was definitely worth it, and I'd happily watch this movie all over again just to pick out easter eggs and enjoy a true depiction of the story that had been set up since BvS.

I watched the movie on a whim, and I must say I was impressed and inspired. It's been a while since I watched an animated film or any film that's actually inspired. Soul is a beautifully told story that somehow manages to capture the nuance of life after death without preaching to any particular creed or religion, this was satisfying to watch as the topic of life after death is just as important as how we live our lives now and I must say that I'll definitely be considering my own life and how it can impact not only myself but those around me. Do yourselves a favour and watch Soul, it's worth every minute.

Very much what South Africa will look like in a decade if things don't change soon!!!

4.3/5 The critics are not always right. That's what Christopher Robin brings to the table. Despite its almost formulaic plot and story, Christopher Robin, manages to brings a sense of nostalgia that got lost somewhere as we were growing up. The lovable characters and memorable characters of Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger and the gang allows you to relive those childhood memories you know so well. The acting was well-done, but not Oscar worthy. The Robin family, lacked a little chemistry and seemed a little forced, but the Hundred Acre Wood characters, especially Pooh, manage to save the movie and our faith in Christopher Robin. Though, I would like to have seen his family play a little more of a role in him re-finding his childhood, Christopher Robin, is a film for the family, that will have you all laughing with nostalgic delight. I highly recommend this as a family gathering type film, so everyone can enjoy it together.

If ever I were forced to watch a movie for the sake of passing the time, it would be Venom, the movie holds your attention as it should, but once you're out of the cinema, you'll want to go watch something more riveting. Venom, is your standard action/whatever the hell the producers wanted type movie. If you're a fanboy/girl of this type of movie, knock yourself out, but for those of us who care about quality movies, go watch a Star is Born
