We were seriously disappointed in 1923. While the storyline offered promise at the outset, the production rapidly defaulted to space filling scenes of very tame sexual encounters. Instead of character development and plot movement, more and more time is taken up with soppy narrative and soap-opera style romance. While 1883 did not equal the sheer scope and power of Yellowstone, it certainly outshone this third entry in the saga. Again , seriously disappointed.
