The author assumes you are familiar with Australia as almost no description of the setting is offered, and it may be frustrating for some… but it felt to me like when someone invites a guest into their home… how weird would it be for them to explain every single detail of how they acquired every piece of decor. I didn’t mind it. The book doesn’t get good until about 50% through the book. It is predictable at once, but still satisfying. The characters good and bad sides are very relatable and make us all confront the sides of ourselves we keep secret. Well done. ❤️
