The first half of the book kept me interested and found the concepts I interesting. Some facts were wrong but I realize it’s a story. Though he says it’s all true - is it just because he says so? It was fun to read at first but about two thirds of the way it became tedious and I was thinking “when is this going to end?” I mean I had already figured out the twist and by the end I was right. I like learning new information but sometimes it felt more like pseudoscience not supported by peer review or challenged or with proof. However it makes a good story. Also why the boring repetition of a beautiful woman constantly? It sometimes comes across as a parallel to a James Bond construct. Langdon = Bond. Beautiful woman. Strange villain. Espionage. Just an observation.

One star for the fact she is a published writer. However, it is a mean book. The ending is a supposed “twist”. If you mean cruel and ugly. Yes. So the book is aptly titled “Beautiful Ugly”. The book - the story is beautiful on the outside but it all surrounds something ugly. Waste of 25.99 dollars.
