For long I had percieved Jersey (Hindi) as an avergae movie, going by it's poor performance at the box office. Needless to say, it was never on my 'to watch' list. A couple of days ago, when I could not pick anything interesting to watch, I came across this movie once again, this time on Netflix. I blindly clicked on it and started watching.... For the want of better options... And I realised I was so wrong. Jersey turned out to be a wonderful movie. It wish more people, me included, had watched the movie at the cinemas; it deserved to be a super hit. Jersey-Hindi is one of the best remakes of a non-Hindi movie. The main reason that made me write a review for this movie is Shahid Kapoor. What a splendid acting performance by him! Shahid just elevated the movie to another level. Hi screen presence, his body language, and the way he breathed life into the character was a treat to watch. As the ending credits rolled on my screen, the one thing that remained with me was this man's portrayal of Arjun! I loved him in this movie!

A very engaging storyline. It has been ages since I watched a series that purely concentrates on telling a story without any underlying political agenda. Each and every actor in this series shines. Atul Kulkarni, Naseeruddin Shah and Sheeba are a treat to watch. A treat for music lovers. The music is very soulful.
