Got Pokemon Sword and I have thoroughly enjoy it. One of the best stories in years, love the gym concept being like a sporting event and it is overall pretty grounded. Some of the nonsense in the past couple generations have been a little over-the-top in my opinion. Wild area is very fun to explore and is a small tease of the idea that Pokemon could work as an open world game, but the traditional routes still exist (although fewer than we are used to). Some of the new Pokemon are great, while others are quite meh, but that's been the case for a while. For someone who is not a hardcore player, this game is great. Wonderful Pokemon experience for me and there were many moments where the game simply put a smile on my face. Fun stuff. Thank you Game Freak! (Also yes, disappointed by the National Dex, but once you simply get over it, the game is a great time. We all knew this was going to have to happen at some point)
