I thought this movie was a hot mess. While everything seems confusing at times, it does pull itself together in the end. This is a great way to show how and why Rourke ended up purchasing the island, why the Island does what it does, and how Tattoo ended up working for him. This is not a horror and its not scary by any means, its just a deeply layered anger fantasy. For those thinking its a "Reboot" its not, its more of a Prequel to the show.
