Brokeback Mountain ripped my heart out almost 15 years ago, it took every once of strength I had not to completely break down in the theatre. Listening to its perfect soundtrack now. RIP Heath Ledger (his final scene nearly killed me), thank you to Ang Lee and Jake Gyllenhaal, and everyone else who made this film possible. As an FYI, I have not watched a full Oscars broadcast since Brokeback Mountain lost best picture to Crash., Some wounds run too deep.

Brokeback Mountain ripped ,my heart out almost 15 years ago. This is still one of my favourite soundtracks. "I Don't Want to Say Good-Bye" by Teddy Thompson is a highlight, as well as Willie Nelson's "He was a Friend of Mine" and the Emmylou Harris track, along with the beautiful instrumental music from the film. It's hard for me to watch this movie again, but I can relive the feeling a little easier emotionally with this perfect soundtrack. And as an FYI, I have not watched the Oscars since Brokeback Mountain lost best picture to Crash.
