A disappointing prequel to what was one of the most iconic horror movies growing up - far too much reflective & moody lighting & messy script. Felt disjointed and lacked real “frights” Hoped for much better but characters weren't that believable Some upsetting scenes relating to childbirth but seen worse “scares”

The film is better than past poor reviews suggest - no spoilers but whilst a slow ish start setting the basis, it has a plausible plot, plenty of believable & realistic action & strong characters - Altho some people say its a little cliched, most films follow past structure / similar plots & whilst you may be able to forecast the ending, its an enjoyable watch and worth s view.

Cracking surprise of good film - No spoilers here Different concept and whilst sticking to some good jumps & frights, has a continuing “menace” throughout. Can understand why there is a sequel but hope they don't ruin No 2 with too much glitz / gore & keep to the underlying “fear & threat” Nice little surprise of a movie

The Last Samurai is a cracking watch & whilst you can eulogise about cinematography & story, you need to enjoy it for what a great modern day classic it is. Cruise is great but so is Watanabe & Sanada - Brilliant watch & just enjoy a super story with excellent action scenes & lessons con a moral compass

A hidden gem on Netflix - No spoilers here; Great action and interesting back story showing both the futility of war & how bureaucrats operate a highest level ie UN Well deserving of IFTA awards and well acted, choreographed & great nod to history.

A good start & not a bad film .. just didn’t live up to the potential .. No spoilers but gets a little lost in middle & whilst it has “Nolan esc” feel, wasn’t as polished as some of the great man’s films. Still an enjoyable watch & not protracted .. just could have been even better ..

Cracking little gem of a film - Accept it as it is, a great action movie with tounge in cheek undertone but believe performances & superbly choreographed action sequences. Enjoy

Decent enough frills & spills .. however Idris with an American accent is not great .. it’s not bad just not necessary- the script is a little thin and acting / directing is below par. Chemistry between Idris and daughters in not convincing. Idris is FAR better than this and whilst a 3/5 at best, it’s a bitty, not gritty, tries too hard to be intense and several scenes where it’s not plausible -

Great film & story- cgi is dated now but adds to authenticity of film .. Cracking action & easy and enjoyable watch
