This could have been so good. Good acting but the writing had many plot holes. First episode an investigative journalist questions what jobs the parents of the missing girls had. One running a fertility clinic. I mean it was obvious but this wasnt even looked at until near the end of the series.
Definitely unnecessarily gruesome flashback scenes of the journalists rape that had nothing to do with the crime other than solidifying her desire to catch the bad guys.
A random kiss scene with no follow up or explanation..odd.
And to echo others, the parents literally saw a mother who was given bad news about her fertility at the place and time frame of the abduction. But no mention of this from the parents. This could have been so believable. I think it would have made so much more sense if the journalists just asked the parents if there's anyone they had to let down lately at the clinic and it lead to a dead end. A real twist would have been it turning out to be the lead police investigor; maybe for the sane reason but was let down at another clinic unknown to the parents.
I get they were trying to build a picture of a typical male monster and surprise uo all but it just didn't work for me.
