i do like this show. have always been interested in police shows. i like the idea of a mid-lifer trying to re-set the rest of their life, sort of a 2nd chance dream thing. i think it is great pitching humor into any mix, but, i get bored quickly with shows that are all comedy, all action, all drama, all anything. real life entails all of those elements, & adding them to shows we like, is a plus, for me.
