[First two paragraphs are narrative, third is mechanic] I’m deeply dissatisfied with the story. Our protagonist, his attitude, his choices… I have played Valhalla, and Odyssey, so I knew exactly who I was playing… but… no. Just no. In the end I spent all those hours in this character’s skin and I feel like I didn’t learn much at all about what lead him to Valhalla, and what little I learned I cannot relate with. Aside from narrative: combat was repetitive, the skill upgrade system left much to be desired, there were bugs where enemies would “see me” through walls into another floor, or deep into foliage from way too far, then run towards me and turn back around inexplicably… endlessly in a loop too… Good thing I bought it on sale.
