Hi y'all as a kid growing up on a beach where we learned how to be a lifeguard when we got older I liked this show. From what i know about shows, yes the pilot should show you what might happen in later episodes about the characters and just what it will be about in general. I feel like the show just needs time to mellow out how they want the storyline in the future. Yes, the firefighters and the lifeguards are Rivals but maybe they’ll explain that later for a valid reason. At the beginning of shows, The writers and actors are just looking to see how the viewers respond and how they can adjust. Usually, it won’t take until the second season for it to get good from personal experience. From what I saw in someone else’s post the show might only have 10 episodes and won’t make a second season. One of two things might happen one in those 10 episodes enough for two seasons might happen drama wise or the first season. You start to know the characters and how the story’s gonna go and How they know each other and their relationships And in the second season, they make different dramas based on what we learn. Overall, I can’t wait for more episodes❤️
