I love his Bosch stories, but Connelly has a dud in this one.
Too many coincidences and impossibilities are in the novel to make the story Implausible and less enjoyable .
The main character – Cassie Black – is threatened and it looks impossible for her to escape the deadly threat. Impossible!
But then an uneven greater threat is thrown in on top of that - and then another - and another - and another. The villain – the murderer – always slowly, and carefully, makes the victim suffer before he executes them. This is done over and ….
I won’t repeat “over” a dozen times otherwise I’ll be copying Connelly in Void Moon.
