My 2nd Cousin is the director, and this was his first movie, he wrote the story and they tried to get someone more popular to direct it, but Aubrey said she wouldn't do the movie if he wasn't the director. It seems to me that a lot of the bad reviews state that it's not as thrilling or action-packed as they'd hoped, and they're not entirely wrong, there's a lot of scenes with just dialogue, but in my opinion, it helps to tell a way more realistic story than those big action movies, like c'mon, walking away from an explosion without looking back is ridiculous 😂 I think it's worth the watch, and though I'm obviously gonna be biased, that was my honest review.
