Flowed pretty well and felt very natural. I personally am not such a fanatic of musicals, but the songs helped further the story line (mostly) and weren’t necessarily shabby. Loved that it was simply a story trying to be told and appreciate the general themes given. Loved how light it was and even made me come to like Chalamet. Great for family👍

Having had waited such a long time for this movie, I expected much more. I understand that it’s hard to fit so much in so little and I was hoping that they would take this opportunity to redeem the scrambled writing of the series. I don’t mind deviating from the original, and if anything I was hoping they would change it up so they could provide something clean and clear. But it was too messy. I acknowledge the animation was gorgeous, but that’s it. (Spoilers ahead!!!) I like musicals, but MLB is already so loaded and complicated that every minute is critical for the story to make sense. Too many songs, but little plot going on. Cat noirs cataclysm isn’t explained at all, but is randomly thrown in the end? And then ladybug doesn’t have a lucky charm anymore? They make a montage of the villains captured, but we lose track of time and im not sure how long has passed. Because of that, the end feels rushed and sudden. And then the way master fu goes about everything is weird. I feel like new watchers would be confused, and old ones would also be confused. The movie felt meh. But it’s aim for kids, so I understand as long as it looks pretty it works for them. If you like it, that’s ok! But I’m sticking to the series.
