Evan Peters does do an amazing job from what I saw, was a fan before the show and I will be after still. That being said, the show is absolutely disgusting in the worst way. I don’t usually post reviews but I tried to make it to the point where they began focusing on the victims and it never happened. I stopped at episode five so there may be retribution later but I could not stand another episode. The show focuses mainly on Dahmer and all but glorified the murders. I didn’t even know any of the victims names until one of the cops mentioned one. This isn’t “getting inside the head of Dahmer” it really seems like it’s almost baiting for sympathy, I was very uncomfortable almost that entire time. I’m not extremely sensitive either I enjoy murder podcast and docs as much as the next girl but this very much felt like an homage to Dahmer s life - this isn’t to knock Ryan Murphy either (I Enjoy ahs) I just want people to know what they are getting into before they spend five hours waiting to hear about a victims story that doesn’t directly involve moving the ‘plot’ forward. If these stories were not based on actual real life victims it wouldn’t bother me as much but here we are
