I was eagerly waiting to see this film but I’m left disappointed by what is essentially the MCU’s version of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! It’s a kids film, about a scary child snatcher who takes some kids. (Although I did think Christian Bale was the best thing in this film) Thor’s character has left the “if he be worthy” heir to the throne hero aspect behind, what was funny in endgame now feels pathetic & not even the Guardians of the Galaxy like him. I can’t see how he can be worthy to rule as this grown up child character. Zeus, the god of all gods apparently, does… oh nothing. I guess I’m on a downer because we all know and love these characters, when Thor arrives in Infinity War he’s the strongest on the field. So to see him whimpering & making silly mistakes, talking to his axe etc just belittles all that’s been achieved before. Sorry! But 2 stars for that reason.
