I watched The little Mermaid with my daughter in 1987. So taking my granddaughter to see it as a live action movie was exciting. After seeing the movie, we both walked out of the theater feeling disappointed. I actually fell asleep for a few minutes. They changed the story in ways that was unnecessary and the songs they added were awful. The magic just wasn’t there for me.
