Where to begin? How does The Recruit have a 76% rating on Rotten Tomatoes? I've only just finished episode 2, so perhaps a bit early to weigh in, but it's doubtful that I will continue watching. Absolutely ridiculous premise, intelligence-insulting writing, and less-than-mediocre acting. A 24 year old lawyer, fresh out of law school, gets a job with the CIA. Seriously? He is embarrassingly ignorant and bumbles his way through a highly classified case that sees him flying all over the world with zero training and CIA coworkers who take great pleasure in sabotaging him for reasons that elude me. I love spy movies/series, but they need to have at least a tiny modicum of believability. I could write a multi-page essay on all the inaccuracies and ridiculousness contained in the first two episodes. If you are looking for a mind-numbingly stupid series to pass the time, this could be a good choice, but if you do not want your intelligence to be insulted, I suggest a hard pass on this epic waste of time.
