One of the worst endings to such a beloved trilogy. A disrespectful ending to Arkham Batman's legacy and disrespectful to be Kevin Conroy's final performance as batman. This character we grew up with over a decade who we saw ourselves as, being killed with the most unhonourable and disrespectful death. The worst conclusion they could have given to Arkham Batman. The same Batman who we saw take out 8 assassins in 1 night when he was starting out. The same Batman who took out his entire rogues gallery whilst fighting against a militia trained by the Arkham Knight to defeat him whilst also having a mental battle against the Joker. We see him die, bloodied up on a bench, shot by Harley Quinn and he also falls over with the bench. Such a terrible ending for a character that was so beloved. Respect aside, the plot made no sense. Flash who literally blitzed Lex Luthor's heart out, fails to kill the Squad when he literally should be able to end them in less than 5 seconds. Batman who literally took down the squad with ease at the start of the game some how fails to defeat them again even when he has the advantage of using fear gas and whilst also in his cave. His boss fight had so much potential to be more but it was so disappointing. It literally is just shoot till he's dead in the final sequence. The nightmare sequences in Arkham Asylum looked better than whatever his final fight was. His boss fight is literally just jump and shoot because he moves so damn slow. Terrible boss fight for a character who is meant to be the embodiment of fear. Plot wise its garbage and the actual mechanics are also garbage. Would have made more sense if Batman fell to his contingency plan of the squad teaming up with the Bat family instead of dying to 4 goons, when 2 of them are literally Batman's victims. Superman, the man who can blitz like flash, splatter the squads brains with a single punch, freeze with his breath and melt with his eyes, dies to a regular gun with kryptonite bullets even though he literally should be able to massacre the entire squad with no difficulty. Finally, Brainiac's boss fight... For whatever he reason he turns into the Flash even after he literally saw the squad kill the Flash with ease. He also some how fails to blitz them even with the Flash's powers. Brainiac, the being who managed to defeat Superman, Green Lantern, Batman, Flash and Wonder Woman as a league fails to defeat 4 goons, when 3 of them should quite literally pose 0 threat to him and 2 of them are literal Batman victims. One of the worst conclusions to an amazing trilogy and such a disappointing plot with terrible boss fights. All it seems like is woke garbage. Just a huge L to anyone who was a fan of the Arkham games and Rocksteady's previous work.
