2.5/5 Old formula story. Too many lagging scenes. But punch dialogues of Suresh Gopi were superb and so was some action scenes. But as I said very very weak story . Old wine in new bottle

What a film....superb film yet again by one of the best parallel cinema Director Dr Biju sir Shots, cinematography, performance of everyone specially Indrans ettan was brilliant..very sad the Indian govt didn't give this gem any mind. Should have bagged a couple of national awards. Must watch for the artistic and aesthetic value. 5/5 Special mention to the cinematographer and music dept. The climax was superb with a end shot dialogue from indransettan😔😍 This is a typical Malayalam parallel film, and fans of Dr Biju, Adoor Gopalakrishnan,Shyam Benegal,G Aravindan will love it to the core Non Keralites may not like this film completely.

Outdated comedy Keshavan Maman type jokes😒😂 Had no expectations from Dileep since all his previous films were full of lame jokes,but watched cos of nadirshaha previous films...this is a big letdown. Last proper comedy nfrom Dileep was 2 countries for me

Strictly average film. Even Mohanlal has lost his charm. Terrible acting at some emotional scenes like Odiyan. Lots of nonsense said in film. Director priyadarshan doesnt even know if marakkar & Samoothiri spoke Valluvanadan Malayalam Slang or Eranadan Malayalam slang Mohanlals dialogue delivery is almost like modern Kerala Koyikoddan Malayalam slang😂😂. Positives: Excellent art direction by Sabu Cyril🔥🔥🔥🔥 Vintage Cinematography🔥🔥 Superb BGM 🔥🔥 Sound Mixing🔥🔥🔥🔥 VFX (not good nor bad,just average for a 100cr budget).🔥 Acting of co actors 🔥🔥 Action Scenes 🔥🔥 Costumes Cannon/Boat scenes were superb. Negatives: Direction! (some scenes are pure copy paste from films like Troy, which is not new for Priyadarshan,whose majority films are copy/remakes of some films) Horrible Malayalam Slang( used a Kozhikkodan Slang instead of proper valluvanadan/ Eranadan slang. Guess priyadarshan is stuck in Kilichundan Maambazham) Make Up was not convincing Mohanlals (one of indian cinemas finest actor) acting was just ok. Terrible acting at Some emotional scenes actually made some audience laugh!!😡😡. almost 3hrs length !! some places felt lagging and not connected.Even Mohanlal comes after 50-55mins On the whole its a one time watchable flick. Watch if u have patience to sit through 3 long hours. Its a big surprise how this film even won national award for best malayalam film??😡😡 Priyadarshan musnt do such epic/big budget films. This film had a great potential but poor scripting and execution Art directior and cinematographer saves this film big time. Priyan is best for comedy/slapstick films which people can enjoy and that is what we expect from him.People need vintage Priyan-Lalettan combo back!! Please! cant even come close to our previous biographical films which ere made at lesser than 50% of Marakkar budget like Urumi,Pazhassiraja,Kayamkulam Kochunni or even Odiyan
