The spirit of childhood is truly alive in this film! Something about this movie feels so real. Like I'm right there back in 1976 even though I was born much later. This is one of those rare movies where the film properly portrays adolescents as they actually are. No over the top acting, these kids seem REAL. And the situations they're in are so realistic as well. This is truly more of a documentary than a film.
This is a pure, wholesome, coming-of-age film. A depiction of the days in the life of adolescents in 1970s California.
This film makes me feel nostalgic for a time when adolescents were treated closer to adults. They had freedom, they could be their own person, they were allowed to explore on their own, they were allowed to get hurt. This film will always hold a very special place in my heart.
