Couldn't get past the point where the mum knowingly dates MC's boss of 2 years who is abusive (he repeatedly berates MC and threatens to fire her over silly things) and a womaniser.
MC is then told to get over herself and that she's being selfish. If mum were dating anyone else, i would agree, but not her abusive, womanising boss.
